Overview

This position is for offshift.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Plan, organize, and coordinate work of machinist mechanics
Ensure quality and timeliness of work is completed within budgeted and scheduled parameters
Assign and status MACPAC work orders/coordinate operational schedule
Ensure timely movement of material throughout work area, working with the material handling team
Resolve design issues through Engineering & Planning
Communicate with other supervisors to help achieve and maintain smooth work flow and high degree of productivity
Support and adhere to the LS6 Labor Contract
Use electronic Time Accounting System (WFM) to maintain employees' time and overtime daily
Maintain 5S safety compliance
Must be willing to work overtime as required



Responsibilities

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:
Graduate Apprentice



Qualifications

Required:

Minimum of1 year experience in machinery related field

Solid understanding of shipbuilding
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred:
Previous supervisory experience
Previous experience in main propulsion and shafting installation,auxiliary installation, and/or weapon installation
