Job Description

Amentum is sourcing for a Financial Analyst with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in finance. Using established procedures, the Financial Analyst (FA) aggressively and proactively analyzes data relating to Program costs. Types of data under the FA’s oversight are to include, but is not limited to;

  • Programmatic, Budgetary, Contractual, Cost, Accounts Payable (AP), Business System Administration, and Forecasting.
  • Supports the general preparation and administration of Program reporting.
  • Prepares short- and long-range budgetary projections utilizing economic forecasting and financial analytic techniques to assess the impact of budget changes and client requirements.
  • Utilizes current organization-wide software and systems to complete assignments and support business continuity.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must be a decisive multi-tasker that can proactively track all program level financial data
  • Perform duties in support of Month-End close and invoicing process, to include reconciliation of projects/accounts, review, and analysis of monthly financial data
  • Ensures compliance with both internal policies and procedures and the JTR, FAR, and DSSR.
  • Capable of leading a detailed financial review with program management
  • Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required
  • Track expenses, process invoices, and assist in budget monitoring and financial record-keeping tasks.
  • Work(s) with Program Management and Contracts to ensure all timely deliverables to customer
  • Accurately and effectively identify/escalate issues to financial management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in finance, including government contracting experience for multiple type contracts (FFP, CPAF, T&M).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Requires understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliation of accounts, and adjustments.
  • Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $120k - $160K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
