The candidate shall have prior Field Service Representative experience. The candidate shall also posses the ability to clearly communicate to a worldwide team accross multiple timezones, culutures and languates.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Aviation maintenance or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 12 years combined experience. 7 years supervisory experience. Position Purpose:The Field Service Operations Senior Manager is responsible for providing management oversight and leadership for all assigned domestic or international technical support and Field Service activities. The manager plans and directs the overall operation and supervises/coordinates special support requirements for Gulfstream customers.Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:- Ensure that technical work, performed outside Gulfstream facilities is done safely, correctly, cost effectively and in compliance with all applicable, acceptable practices and regulations.
- Ensure that all Field Service Reps are continually trained in complex aircraft systems/equipment, operational problems and new techniques. .
- Manage assigned area to ensure that all customers achieve the highest possible state of operational safety, readiness and performance of their Gulfstream aircraft.
- Represent the department and the company by providing the customer and Gulfstream personnel with company updates, training opportunities, briefings and technical liaison.
- Manage personnel matters including but not limited to staffing levels, employee assignments and performance levels (including employee annual performance reviews).
- Ensure technical information related to maintenance and operational problems is communicated quickly to the proper area(s) for resolution.
- Utilize Lean Initiatives to streamline FS duties as they pertain to fleet status support and reporting.
- Ensure that the Field Service Director has timely and accurate reports regarding any significant issues or events related to Gulfstream customers.
- Coordinate Field Service specialized support of logistics for airshows, area meetings and conferences at which Gulfstream personnel and aircraft will be in attendance. .
- When assigned, perform interim Field Service Director duties in his/her absence. .
- As required, assist with expatriating new international employees. .
- An A and P license and four (4) years of related aircraft experience in addition to the twelve (12) years combined experience may offset the Bachelors degree.
- Twelve (12) years combined experience in any or all of the following areas: (a) Experience as a Gulfstream Field Service Representative, Field Service Supervisor or Field Service Manager, (b) Experience in a supervisory role overseeing technical support personnel, (c) Experience as a Gulfstream EIS Representative or EIS Manager, (d) Experience as a Technical Operations Specialist or Group Leader within Gulfstream Product Support organization, (e) Experience maintaining and repairing one or more Gulfstream model aircraft in either a service center or flight operations environment, (f) Flight line experience as a technician and/or flight mechanic in a Corporate Flight Operations environment (domestic and international) providing daily maintenance, scheduled or unscheduled AOG support and/or logistic support integration, (g) Flight Engineer experience supporting unscheduled maintenance, pre and post-flight inspections and routine servicing of complex aircraft in a domestic and/or international arena, (h) Integrated digital avionics and electrical systems maintenance and diagnostics experience is desirable.
