Orion Edge operates in the defense technology industry, specifically in the electronic warfare (EW) sector with a focus on developing electromagnetic warfare products and engineering services tailored to modern defense missions.
- Serve as the primary technical expert during customer engagements, field exercises, and trade shows.
- Prepare, set up, and operate all equipment for demonstrations, ensuring flawless execution.
- Articulate complex technical concepts and system capabilities to diverse audiences, from operators to senior leadership.
- Conduct comprehensive New Equipment Training (NET) for military personnel and other end-users upon system delivery.
- Develop, refine, and maintain training materials, including user manuals, quick-start guides, and lesson plans.
- Certify operators and "train-the-trainer" groups as required.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance (field-level repair) on all fielded equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware and software issues independently and efficiently.
- Manage and document all service activities, failure reports, and repair logs.
- Act as a critical link between the customer and Orion's engineering team, providing detailed feedback on system performance, user experience, and potential improvements.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and end-users.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field.
- Experience: Proven experience working with or directly supporting U.S. Military or other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.
- Technical Skills: Strong hands-on technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems, software, and networks.
- Communication: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to train and communicate technical information clearly.
- Self-Management: Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in high-pressure environments.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Prior U.S. Military service with a technical or training-focused MOS/Rating.
- An active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher).
- Direct experience with RF systems.
- Experience as a formal technical trainer or curriculum developer.
- Familiarity with military logistics, fielding processes, and exercise support.
- This position operates in a dynamic field environment, including military bases, training ranges, and customer facilities.
- Must be able to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., outdoors, inclement weather, non-traditional office settings).
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment, potentially up to 50 lbs.
- Requires a valid driver's license.
