Summary

Job Description

The Facility Operations Associate Manager leads a team who oversees the safety and operational readiness of L3Harris Camden’s multi‑building manufacturing, lab and office complex. This role ensures that all facilities, including production areas, test operations, warehouses, grounds, interior spaces, manufacturing and support equipment —are properly maintained to support L3Harris Camden’s high‑volume manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads, directs and reviews the work of direct report(s) who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Communicate with teams, contractors and service vendors to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches.
  • Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products.
  • Establishes short-term operational plans with measurable contribution to function or business area results.
  • Frequent walking of manufacturing floors.
  • Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting.
  • Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within own organization, in accordance with management review and approval.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 7 years prior related leadership experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 5 years of prior related leadership experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related leadership experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience supporting high volume manufacturing facilities, equipment controls and related automation.
  • Leadership experience in facility operations, building maintenance, or facility services supervision; experience leading teams across multiple buildings in an industrial or manufacturing environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Knowledge of general facility maintenance practices, preventative maintenance and building systems, and industrial safety standards.
