Saronic is seeking a strong Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations and facility reliability efforts at our Austin headquarters. This role is responsible for developing maintenance strategies, leading maintenance personnel and contractors, and ensuring production and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

The ideal candidate brings leadership experience within industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environments and is passionate about building high-performing teams, improving reliability, and driving operational excellence. This position will play a key role in establishing scalable maintenance programs and supporting the continued growth of Saronic’s operations globally.

Responsibilities

  • What You’ll Do

    • Lead and manage daily maintenance operations across office, production, and facility environments.

    • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and operational uptime.

    • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to maintenance technicians, contractors, and service providers.

    • Plan and oversee maintenance projects, repairs, shutdown activities, and facility improvement initiatives.

    • Partner with construction, workplace, EHS and other teams to support production goals and minimize downtime.

    • Establish maintenance priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.

    • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and service providers.

    • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to identify maintenance risks and implement corrective actions.

    • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and maintenance best practices.

    • Track and analyze maintenance metrics, work order trends, and equipment performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Support budgeting, inventory management, and maintenance planning activities.

    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset information, and service documentation.

    • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance development for maintenance personnel.

    • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-focused team culture.

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, organization, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • What You’ll Bring

    • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, or industrial operations environments.

    • Previous experience leading maintenance teams or facility operations in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

    • Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and facility infrastructure.

    • Experience developing or managing preventive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms.

    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Ability to analyze maintenance data and implement process improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.

    • Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management software preferred.

    • OSHA certification or technical trade certifications are a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Frequent standing and walking within office, production, and facility environments

  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

  • Visual acuity to inspect equipment, review documents, and identify maintenance issues

  • Occasional reaching, bending, climbing, or stooping

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds
