Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a F-15C Simulator Technician II to support the F‐15C Weapons and Tactics Trainers at the Tyndall AFB, Florida.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with operations, repairs, tests, installs, configures, and upgrades
  • Assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware, and software
  • Performs general inspections for pre‐operations, post‐operations, and component handling of training devices, assemblies, and components
  • Inspects components and/or Line‐Replaceable Units to verify status prior to installation
  • Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment
  • Troubleshoots to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
  • Assists instructors/aircrews during scheduled training missions
  • Performs logistical, administrative, and other collateral duties as necessary to maintain the training devices
  • Occasional travel required for urgent simulator maintenance activities and/or training opportunities
  • Works under partial supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc)
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Program (SAP)
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)
  • Willing to work a rotating shift
  • Ability to climb ladders at heights up to 15 feet and stairs on a regular basis
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in related work experience
  • SAP Access
  • F-15 (or comparable fighter-type) flight line avionics background
  • Experience in electronics, computer information systems, visual display systems, and/or simulation systems

Union:

This is a union-represented position.

Rotating Shifts:

  • 1st shift hours: 6:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
  • 2nd shift hours: 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Summary hourly pay: $45.10
