The Boeing Company's Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is currently seeking an Experienced Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist to join our Information, Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) team. This position may be based in Mesa, AZ; Everett orSeattle, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Englewood, CO; or North Charleston, SC.

As a Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist, you will own end-to-end procurement activities including, but not limited to, early engagement with stakeholders, sourcing strategy development, Request for Proposal (RFP) authoring, proposal analysis, terms and conditions negotiation, and purchase orders. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the procurement lifecycle, experience in supplier negotiations, and an established record of managing supplier relationships with mutually beneficial outcomes.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities related to IT software, infrastructure, or services.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and market offerings
  • Develop source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies that satisfy customer needs
  • Negotiate long-term agreements (terms and conditions)
  • Create and oversee strategic contracts
  • Engage in stakeholder and contract lifecycle management
  • Support the development and implementation of category strategies
  • Demonstrate strong business and financial insight
  • Recommend and implement supply chain process improvements
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Procurement and /or strategic sourcing practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience in contracts/supplier management
  • 3+ years of experience in leading supplier contract negotiations
  • 3+ years of experience in managing supplier relationships

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience conducting price negotiations and negotiating, interpreting, and editing terms and conditions with support from a contracts team.
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contracts
  • 3+ years of experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements
  • Project leadership skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, frequently leveraged when presenting to all levels of an organization
  • Experience with SAP Ariba

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for AZ, MO, SC: $88,400 – $119,600

Summary pay range for CO, WA: $94,350 - $127,650
