Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Engineer to join our Phantom Works Quality Organization in Southern California

Join Boeing as a Quality Engineer and drive world-class safety and reliability across cutting-edge aerospace programs. In this position, you will support quality defect reduction, root-cause problem solving, and continuous improvement to ensure parts and processes meet the aerospace manufacturing standards. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
  • Develop quality metrics, design, and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct or analyze capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
  • Participate in design and quality reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated
  • Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Provide Preliminary review dispositions for non-conformances
  • Perform analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
  • Provides quality interpretation of requirements
  • Recommends corrective actions
  • Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): (standard verbiage)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 
  • 3+ years of experience working quality processes and procedures
  • 3+ years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications)
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Early Quality Involvement Tool (EQI)
  • Secret Clearance preferred
  • Experience with new development programs
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • Prior experience in aerospace, manufacturing, quality, or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience developing and reviewing proposals and contractual requirements

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $107,100 - $144,900
