Equipment Maintenance Tech II in GAC Van Nuys

Were looking for a Maintenance Technician who can diagnose, repair, and maintain complex systems that support aircraft manufacturing. Experience maintaining or repairing aircraft ground support equipment (GSE) is highly preferred.
What Youll Do
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will:
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical malfunctions on production equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Conduct corrective maintenance and upgrades on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Deliver highquality repairs that keep equipment operating within required specifications.
- Partner with operations to resolve recurring issues and improve equipment performance.
What Were Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of experience working with electrical controls and mechanical applications in a manufacturing environment.
- A 2year technical degree may offset one year of experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Experience with aircraft ground support equipment is a strong plus.

Day shift 6:00am - 4:30pm Tuesday - Friday
The compensation range for this role is $35.88 - $39.66 hourly.
Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:- Diagnoses cause of electrical and mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and apply corrective action to resolve re-occurring issues.
- Proactively conducts Preventive and Predictive Maintenance inspections and performs required. duties in accordance with recommended schedules.
- Performs repairs and corrective maintenance to equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability so that the equipment is capable of operating within the required. specifications.
- Performs setup and calibrations on scheduled intervals for all aircraft related production equipment .
- Daily input of required. data in CMMS system for machine reliability and control.
- Interfaces daily with key Management and Production personnel regarding all aircraft related production equipment. .
- Assists with Engineering acceptance testing and training. .
- Ability to work any shift.
- Background in CNC Equipment and GSE Equipment a plus.
- Must be able to read electrical schematics and blue prints.
- Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
- Must have demonstrated working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls aspects of factory automation systems and the integration of devices used.
- Working knowledge of replacing spindles, ball screws, linear guide ways, bearings, hydraulics repairs, and precision machine/laser alignments is a plus.
- A working knowledge of PC based Microsoft office. Experience with computerized maintenance management software relevant to spare parts management, work order creation, and Preventive Maintenance preferred.
