Summary

Job Description

The -21 Equipment Attendant is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Accounts for and controls all items of aircraft -21 Equipment as agreed upon and listed on Air Form 2692 for each assigned MDS.
  • Reconciles shortages.
  • Maintains or repairs items identified as -21.
  • Maintains master copy of all -21 equipment for each assigned aircraft.
  • Secures and controls items when aircraft are off station for Programmed Depot Maintenance or Modifications as required.
  • Tracks equipment requiring calibration via TC Max software.
  • Ensures equipment is monitored and scheduled for maintenance or calibration as required.
  • Inspects each aircraft annually for all items.
  • Audits pre-and-post mission inventories for compliance.
  • Documents unserviceable equipment in aircraft forms and IMDS.
  • Orders replacement equipment through either the appropriate CLS site or Standard Base Supply System (SSBS).
  • Controls, annotates damage and orders replacement assets as necessary.
  • Organizes and controls access to the main storage area bin and the loose equipment rota-bin.
  • Authorizes the movement of -21 equipment between aircraft and annotates the AF Form 2692 as required.
  • Provides program status briefings when required to Director of Maintenance Aircraft Branch Manager or Flightline Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as required in support of the Tool room.
  • Those duties include but are not limited to issuing receiving, stocking, controlling, and inventory tools, Technical Orders (T.O.’s), test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and support equipment in accordance with established procedures and maintains strict accountability.
  • Performs preventative and minor maintenance on tools and support equipment.
  • Ensures tools and support equipment is clean, oiled, and serviceable.
  • Marks and identifies tools and equipment for quick inventory.
  • Controls calibration schedules for TMDE and ensures overdue calibration items are removed from service and sent for testing.
  • Assists Safety representative in snow removal.
  • Practices tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, good housekeeping, and safety at all times.
  • Facilitate debrief of assigned aircraft and documents debrief data to aircraft and debrief forms.
  • Enter Aircraft discrepancies into Maintenance Information System (MIS).
  • Communicates debrief information to Plans and Scheduling, MOCC, and SAM 4.
  • Performs input data corrections of aircraft debrief information through MIS.
  • May perform other duties related to the classification as assigned to include temporary duty and travel.
  • Must be able to work, day shift, swing shift, night shift, and/or weekend shifts as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED required.
  • Working knowledge of inventory and inventory control procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of computers.
  • May occasionally handle items that weigh in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance: Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a flightline driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applicable Government documents, directives, and technical orders is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year’s recent experience working with MIS/SBSS interface or related computer experience is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of 781 Series aircraft forms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Fed Log system is preferred.
  • Knowledge of procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), repair cycle system and basic aircraft engine components is highly preferred.
