Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Engineering Aide in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will:
• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Assist engineers in collaboration with subsystem, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
• May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
• Perform software engineering to include design, development, and software/hardware integration.
Basic Qualifications:
•Associates degree in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks. Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered. Military experience may also be considered.
•Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - US Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Collate with subsystems, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products.
• Understanding of electronic circuit design principles, including analog and digital circuits.
• Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
• Desire to learn Zuken E3 (schematic drafting) and/or Creo (3D modeling) for cable/harness design
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
