Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Next Generation Launch Equipment (NGLE) and/or the Next Generation Interceptor Lockheed Martin (NGI LM) programs located in Chandler, AZ.
Essential Functions:
- Development, decomposition, refinement, and documentation of key requirements and capabilities
- Support overall System-level end to end performance assessments of the system, and identify/lead the resolution of systems performance gaps relative to stakeholder requirements
- Collaborate with senior systems engineers, and other disciplines to support the development of deliverables
- Generate and document system level requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments, and participate in system level verification/data review activities
- Manage requirement changes in the Requirements Management databases working effectively with IPT leaders and team members
- Create, and manage both original and revised specification/interface definition documents and coordinates document approval through peer review and signature process
- Support risk management (identifies potential risk)
- Manage aspects of system design, analyses, interface verification, testing, minor failure/anomaly resolution or mission operations.
- Participate in the creation of, and manage changes to system or subsystem analytical models
- Support the development and execution of technical reviews for the program
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- US DoD Interim Secret security clearance, or higher at the time of application
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel
- Demonstrated experience in requirements decomposition, validation, and verification
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- Strong technical problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously
- Knowledgeable about agile principles and have demonstrated the ability to facilitate an agile development process
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBSE experience (Cameo or similar)
- US DoD Secret security clearance, or higher at the time of application
