The Role

We are seeking highly motivated and talented Software Engineers to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applicationKey Responsibilities
•Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications

•Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements

•Support Agile software development processes and sprint activities

•Develop and maintain databases, APIs, and user interfaces

•Troubleshoot system issues and implement software enhancements

•Support software documentation, testing, and deployment activities

•Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

•Ensure software quality, cybersecurity, and compliance standards are met

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience; 
Master’s Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and assembly processes in a shipyard environment.
• Experience with FEA tools such as Teamcenter, ABAQUS and NASTRAN, FORTRAN, Matlab, python, etc. or similar
• Knowledge of structural response and design requirements for surface ship or submarines
• Structural design analysis experience
• Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with trades, management, and government customers.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and mentoring skills with the ability to manage small project teams.
• DOD Security Clearance may be required, but not to start.
