SAIC is seeking an EIT Mission Manager IT Service Management effort for the Joint Communications Service Element (JCSE) located at Macdill Air Force Base (AFB) in Florida.  The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command’s infrastructure, systems, and applications. The EIT Mission Lead will provide comprehensive and direct support for the JCSE garrison mission.

The successful candidate will provide their EIT expertise with the Mission team providing all facets of customer service including installing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day to day MITS garrison IT operations supporting JCSE headquarters, training facilities, and mission preparation environments. 
  • Lead a team of personnel across service desk, network, systems, and cybersecurity functions, audio visual.
  • Maintain operational awareness of service health, outages, risks, and mission impacts; ensure timely escalation and resolution. 
  • Oversee ITSM processes (incident, request, change, problem) and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Provide senior technical oversight across networks, systems, virtualization, storage, cloud services, and collaboration platforms. 
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance with RMF, STIGs, ACAS, HBSS, and JCSE specific directives; support POA&M and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate with JCSE J6, mission planners, and leadership to align IT services with garrison operations, exercises, and readiness cycles.
  • Support SLA reporting, metrics, and program deliverables; provide inputs to MITS leadership on performance and resource needs.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise MITS architecture, modernization initiatives, and configuration management requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Active DoD secret clearance.
  • 7+ years of DoD enterprise IT operations experience.
  • 7+ years of technical team leadership (10+ personnel preferred).
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills with ability to brief senior leaders. 
  • Experience with NIPR/SIPR environments. 
  • DoD ITSM processes using ServiceNow.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MA/MS DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience supporting JCSE, joint communications units, or J6 organizations.
  • ITIL Foundation V4 certification.
  • Advanced technical certifications (CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, AWS/Azure).
  • Microsoft Azure fundamentals. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise collaboration tools, virtualization, and storage platforms.
