The Security Review Analyst supports the Security Review Program which conducts reviews of proposed testimony before congressional committees, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controlled technical data that was generated under non-DoD contracts, and material submitted by sources outside the DoD for such review.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide daily courier support (minimum of one courier requirements per day)

• Conduct case scanning and daily case processing

• Provide administrative and programmatic support to the Government in the execution of this task

• Analyze unclassified and classified documents to determine the appropriate action needed

• Demonstrate understanding of document markings

• Utilize analytical skills to make determinations on documents for release, referral to other agencies,

and exemption from automatic declassification

• Recognize possible nuclear weapons and intelligence information

• Review documents for OSD component Equity

• Coordinate with OSD components on recommended or amended changes

• Record management of Congressionally directed documents

• Approves documents for public release or specifically to Congressionally lead inquires

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in History or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

• Ability to communicate effectively – both orally and in writing

• Excellent customer service skills to adequately handle the needs of government program managers and their SMEs

• Professional work attitude with interactions to high level officials

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat

• Must have an Active TS/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.

• Detail-oriented with ability to work in a high-pressure environment handling sensitive and/or classified information while meeting multiple deadlines

• Ability to communicate effectively – both orally and in writing

• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detail.

• Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and adjust to established work patterns and processes as required

• Experience level may be waived with government client or prime approval

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk; handle or feel objects; and write. Ability to Lift up to 25 pounds, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc

Compensation Details:

$67,000-$70,000
