Description:What You Will Be Doing:
The Technical Publications System Analyst is the primary point of contact for processing, automating, and managing large technical manuals within the Automated Technical Manuals (ATM) and VISTA authoring environments. The incumbent will use InfoLinker Plus to create rule‑based bookmarks and hyperlinks, and generate Acrobat index files.
In parallel, the Technical Publications Systems Analyst, coordinating with Technical Publications writers, Quality Assurance, and Linking teams to meet contractual delivery schedules, troubleshoot system issues, maintain training materials, and support the overall Marietta Technical Publications operating environment.
This is a hybrid role that serves two distinct functional teams. The current workload projection is approximately 80% on supporting the PDF‑automation/InfoLinker Plus team and 20% on supporting the other team, but the split will be fluid and will shift as project priorities change.

Basic Qualifications:
• Adobe Acrobat Proficiency – Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Acrobat (versions 9, X, XI, or DC).
• Windows 10+ – Comfortable working in a Windows environment.
• Technical Publications Familiarity – Understanding of authoring, indexing, and/or possibly the linking processes (ATM/VISTA or similar).
• Team Collaboration – Willingness to work across multidisciplinary teams and adapt to shifting workload (≈ 80 %, 20 %).
Desired Skills:
• Analytical & Problem Solving Skills – Able to troubleshoot rule failures, system outages, and publishing issues.
• Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal ability to interact with writers, QA, and linking teams.
• Detail Oriented – Precision in rule creation and document handling.
• Experience with document authoring or PLM tools such as FrameMaker, Windchill, DIMS, Contenta, or S1000D.
• Java programming – Proficiant with Java programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• C# programming – Experience with this language is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) practices.
• Background in military or aerospace technical publications environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database query tools.
• Familiarity with issue tracking/reporting platforms (JIRA, ServiceFLO, Tableau, ECRS, Live Content).
• InfoLinker Plus Experience – Ability to create and maintain rule based bookmarks, internal links, and external hyperlinks in large PDFs.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
