Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Director 1 – Support & Training Integration.  This position will be located in Roy, UT.  

Northrop Grumman is looking for an experienced Support & Training Integration IPT Lead to own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of the Sentinel product support portfolio – from engineering design through sustainment. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary Integrated Product Team (IPT) responsible for training, maintenance planning, supply support, technical data, support equipment planning, and more. You’ll define and champion the long-term vision of technical scope across the across the Integrated Product Support elements aligned with the program roadmap. You will drive cost, schedule, and technical performance while forging deep, value‑adding relationships with our customers.

What You Will Get To Do:

The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions.  The individual will report into the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test organization.

Primary responsibilities are to support the establishment and maintenance of the IPT operations to execute the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance and includes, but is not limited to:  

  • Develop and execute sustainment strategies for system longevity
  • Develop the long‑term vision for technical scope that captures system lifecycle and upgrade paths
  • Influencing product requirements and technical designs for supportability
  • Assisting the government customer in refining their product support requirements
  • Planning for the deployment and sustainment of the Sentinel weapon system
  • Lead a cross‑functional IPT to deliver training and product‑support outcomes on‑time and on‑budget
  • Manage technical, cost, and schedule performance using Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Identify, mitigate, and capitalize on risks & opportunities
  • Define, track, and close program requirements through strong technical leadership
  • Create and maintain master plans & integrated schedules
  • Partner with suppliers to meet program objectives and nurture strategic relationships
  • Present to customers, senior execs, and stakeholders
  • Formulate and implement growth strategies

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years, or Master’s and 8 years, experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
  • Experience managing people
  • 3+ years leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.
  • Proven leadership of engineering cross-functional teams within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
  • An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)

Primary Level Salary Range: $193,800.00 - $290,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
