SAIC is seeking a Cost Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions (TAGM) Project Office. This position will sit in Huntsville, Alabama.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze cost findings and recommendations for cost and price evaluations for government contracts
  • Develop and maintain complex cost models to project pricing scenarios and evaluate competitive proposals
  • Responsible for a wide range of pre-award and post-award functions
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise regarding the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), cost accounting standards, and various contract types 
  • Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement ((DFARS).
  • Assess business systems, including accounting, estimating, and purchasing systems. 

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors and eighteen(18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Must achieve Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Contracting Professional certification within 36 months of hire. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), particularly Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation) and Part 31 (Contract Cost Principles and Procedures)
  • Proven experience with various contract types, including firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and time-and-materials
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
  • 10 (ten) years of direct experience in the cost and price evaluation of proposals for government contracts

 

Clearance:

  • Minimum of a Secret clearance required to start
