Contractor Service Administrator (Facilities)

SpaceX is preparing to launch at an incredible Launch tempo out of multiple launch complexes and process more Payloads than ever. Existing and future SpaceX facilities are dynamic, adapting to changing requirements. The Contractor Service Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating multiple service contracts for maintenance of SpaceX facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage, coordinate, and act as the liaison for multiple service contracts such as janitorial, DI water systems, pest control, fuel distribution, landscaping, waste management, etc.
  • Partner with Purchasing on the RFP/bid process for multiple service contracts
  • Coordinate operational schedules for vendors to not affect or slow down the SpaceX operation
  • Work with suppliers to increase efficiency in service delivery
  • Ensure vendors meet SpaceX, Air Force and NASA standards while delivering promised services, materials, and craftsmanship in the agreed timeframe
  • Manage the traffic of operational requests and follow through completing of tasks that require support from vendors SpaceX engages in continued service contract
  • Interact with tradesman, contractors and building officials to coordinate and execute maintenance repair of facilities support equipment
  • Direct system repairs of Facilities, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, fire protection, water and plumbing infrastructure, paint, and grounds keeping
  • Coordinate and facilitate furniture requests to align with site standards
  • Manage fleet vehicle requests, insurance, tags and maintenance with automotive shop

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Facilities Management Professional (FMP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
  • Capability organizing work with multiple trades
  • Degree in architecture, engineering, project management, construction management or related field
  • Organized and self-driven capable of working independently with little direction
  • Innovative and futuristic thinking to drive continuous improvement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
  • Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support in emergency situations
  • Must be comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction
