SAIC is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to join our talented team in Lompoc, CA. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. This position is responsible for providing the project and programmatic management expertise for the coordination, planning, and work prioritization of assigned projects for the Client, ranging in value from $200K to $50M or more.

In this role you will serve as an interface between the government facilities management organization, design and construction contractors, Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contractor, local utilities, and all other customers and stakeholders on matters related to customer requirements, project prioritization, and execution. You will be responsible for overseeing the five phases of the project life cycle, to include requirements development, programming, design, construction, and closeout. You will serve as a Project Manager overseeing and managing the tasks and functions related to the Client’s overall facilities operations. Some, but not all, of the key focus areas include:

  • Facilities Recapitalization
  • Long-term, strategic planning
  • Advocacy and justification for budget and corporate prioritization
  • Monitoring and Documentation of Critical Infrastructure
  • Design and construction oversight

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a liaison, coordinating and reporting to U.S. government representatives at various levels
  • Manage the activities of A/E (Architectural/Engineering) firms and construction contractors, ensuring projects are executed on schedule, meet quality standards, and stay within budget
  • Conduct and validate cost proposals
  • Develop and present metrics to promote a culture of continuous improvement
     

Qualifications


  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities related engineering or architectural field with 7+ years of relevant experience in the IC, DOD or Commercial Sector
    • Note that relevant professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Self-starter – this position will be part of a team but management will not be local
  • Knowledge of facility operations and facility project execution
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners
  • Demonstrated track record of adhering to tight schedules with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing resources

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in a Business, Engineering or Architectural Field
  • Knowledge of the Client’s operations
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codes
  • Experience in schedule analysis
  • Project Management Institutes’ PMP or equivalent project management certification

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
