Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and upkeep of primarily Okuma and Haas CNC machines. The ideal candidate will perform weekly maintenance, assist in machine decommissioning and recommissioning, and recover machines from faults. Additionally, this role involves forklift operation for moving equipment and materials. A strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and organization are essential.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Maintain primarily Okuma and Haas CNC machines: Conduct regular checks and maintenance to ensure machines are operating at optimal efficiency
  • Perform weekly maintenance: Scheduled maintenance on CNC machines in both R&D and production areas to prevent breakdowns and extend machine life
  • Assist with machine decommissioning and recommissioning: Help dismantle, move, and set up machines as required by project demands or facility upgrades
  • Recover machines from faults and alarms: Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine errors or alarms promptly to minimize downtime
  • Focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization: Ensure the work environment adheres to safety regulations, maintain cleanliness around machinery, and organize tools and parts effectively
  • Operate forklifts: Safely move equipment, parts, and materials within the facility as part of maintenance tasks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with shop floor operations and industrial machinery

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude: Ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components
  • Experience with Okuma and Haas controls: Direct experience with these specific CNC systems would be highly beneficial
  • Mechanical certification: Possession of certifications in mechanics, machine repair, or related fields
  • Forklift operation certification: Valid certification to operate forklifts, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials and machinery

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2nd shift start time: 2:45pm
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Pay range:
Level 1: $24.00 - $31.00/hour
Level 2: $28.00 - $37.00/hour
Level 3: $33.00 - $43.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
