Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 1 year of machine shop operations experience. • Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.), as well as measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of mathematical principles (conversions to decimal system, geometry, basic math, etc.).

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC equipment.
  • Operate any time and size of single spindle or multiple spindles on a variety of operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc.).
  • Use all tools, jigs, figures, and gauges necessary to perform operations.
  • Work with close tolerances and fine finishes.
  • Perform tool offset and load parts.
  • Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.
  • Participate in, and support, team initiatives.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
  • Report problems to appropriate resources and/or Coach.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
  • Participate in and support team initiatives.
  • Receive guidance from experienced employees.
  • Understand and abide by the GE behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • 1-3 years’ machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior education/training in machine shop operations.
  • Prior experience in a self-directed teaming environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
  • Continuously sit.
  • Occasionally bend, stop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
  • Occasionally lift up to 20lbs and push/pull up to 22lbs.

This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

The pay for this position is $23/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 7/31/26.
