Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform required dimensional precision measurement inspection operations on all parts, components, assemblies, gaging, and tooling for receiving, fabrication, assembly, modification, rework, repair and installation utilizing manual and automated CMM equipment (e.g. CMM ROMER arm types, manual and fully automated programmed CMM, etc…).
  • Participate in or conduct First Article inspections of parts, components, assemblies, gaging, and tooling for receiving, fabrication, assemblies, modifications, rework, repair and installation equipment for completeness and conformance with applicable Drawing-Based Definition (2-D drawings) and now Model Based Definition or Digital Product Design Definition (MBD or DPDD in 3-D Space).
  • Coordinate with engineering, customers, vendors, production workers and other Quality Assurance personnel as required to complete given tasks.
  • Provide assistance while solving problems and recommend corrective action to be taken to prevent recurrence of rejections.
  • Perform work in other classifications which are included in normal duties and necessary to complete a given assignment.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A post-start U.S. Secret clearance is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
  • 1+ year of experience with PC-DMIS programming (or equivalent) and/or familiarity working with Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM)
  • Must be able to work any shift, as assigned

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of experience with precision measurement equipment
  • 1+ year of experience in data/file management (e.g. ability to organize, sort, label, scan, and otherwise manipulate paper and electronic inspection records as required)
  • 1+ year of experience performing quality inspections on machined parts and mechanical assemblies
  • 1+ year of experience as a Quality Inspector

Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Shift:

The selected candidate must be able to work any shift based on seniority and work assignment.

Additional Information:

  • This is an hourly position governed by the IAMAW 2766 Collective Bargaining agreement.
  • The selected candidate must be able to work any shift based on seniority and work assignment. This site runs 3 shifts:
    • A shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
    • B shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm - 3:00am
    • C shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm

Summary pay range: $24.00 / hr. - $34.00 / hr. starting rate
