SAIC is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Systems Engineer to support the LANDMARK AOS program in Chantilly, VA. LANDMARK AOS is SAIC’s large Prime SETA program supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED).

All candidates must hold an active Top Secret/SCI with Poly to be considered for the position.

As the Cloud DevSecOps Systems Engineer, you will assist and advise Government managers responsible for multiple Systems Engineering functions for a variety of Cloud-based developments programs within the portfolio.  You will be also responsible for helping to design, implement, and oversee the maintenance of robust systems with a focus on integrating software solutions into complex system architectures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of systems-related projects, leveraging your software development expertise to deliver high-performing and resilient systems.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Design, develop, and implement systems and solutions that meet intricate user and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software development efforts into larger system engineering workflows, ensuring compatibility and robustness in deliverables.
  • Perform detailed systems analysis, requirements gathering, and specifications development.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical challenges across systems and software domains.
  • Foster a culture of DevOps by automating deployment pipelines and integrating continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools into development workflows. 
  • Support the implementation of cybersecurity best practices and standards in system and software design to ensure secure and resilient solutions.
  • Analyze performance indicators, troubleshoot issues, and implement strategies to enhance system efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with organizational standards, regulatory policies, and customer requirements.
  • Generate detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, system diagrams, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • 5+ years of Cloud/DevSecOps experience
  • Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, design principles, and integration methods.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity standards, and best practices in securing systems and software.
  • Strong IV&V Testing (Independent Verification and Validation) experience
  • Experience with Systems Engineering documentation such as CONOPS, SRDs, ICDs, verification, and test artifacts.
  • Systems Engineering experience supporting SE organizations and familiarity with acquisition processes.
  • Knowledge of core SE disciplines including risk, requirements, configuration management, and cross‑program integration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve system or software issues.
  • Effective communicator with solid collaboration and project coordination abilities.
  • Able to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with process improvement and development of performance metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for engagement with Government, SETA, FFRDC, and contractor stakeholders on high‑visibility technical matters.
