Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Cloud Developer in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Video Services (GVS) business area to enable the integration of video services into the Department of Defense.

This is a hybrid role, and selected candidate will be expected to provide a combination of remote (20%) and onsite (80%) support in Chantilly, VA or Fort Meade, Maryland.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT


  • Designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Cloud Application capabilities to include IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings for our DOD customers.
  • Design and development of new software products.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the development team on designing complex software systems.
  • Acts as a high-level technical expert and addresses issues relating to systems integration and compatibility.
  • Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
  • Estimates size and schedule for software enhancements.
  • Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques.
  • Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other task personnel.
  • Responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required)
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Developer must have:


Education: Bachelor's Degree in related technical field.

Experience: 8+ years of related experience.

Security Clearance: Minimum of an active Secret security clearance.

Certification: CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification

Technical skills:

  • Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation.
  • Successful candidates must have a strong understanding of DOD Cloud governance and application architectures required to implement cloud services for DOD customers. Specific focus is on user interface development for government off-the-shelf interfaces.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365 management and configuration (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite, AzureAD).
  • Experience in DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide.
  • Expertise with Enterprise Application Architecture Frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience in agile methodologies, especially related to release scheduling, and utilizing tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience in DevSecOps.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing test plans.

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
