Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.  #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff within the area of responsibility.   
  • Role supports projects of high complexity and few stakeholders involved. 

Planning / Productivity 

  • Prepares construction drawings and sketches. 
  • Develops short term (three week look ahead) and long term (90/180 day schedules) plans and construction methods.
  • Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements 

Safety / Quality 

  • Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements  
  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.  
  • Provide leadership and accountability for the safety, accident prevention, environmental programs on the project.

Technical  

  • Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents 
  • Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. 
  • Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.   

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Experience in semiconductor, EV battery, or data centers preferred.
  • Hands-on implementation of AWP; experience with project setup preferred.
  • Proficiency with digital execution tools, 4D/5D planning, and analytics preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Owns safe, high-quality civil execution—expert knowledge of earthwork, piling, soil stabilization, backfill, grading, utilities, foundations, concrete, formwork, rebar, and embeds, with tight control of heavy equipment operations.
  • Plans and sequences civil work—drives mass earthwork, undergrounds, foundations, and slabs to protect access, interfaces, and downstream trades.
  • Leads civil craft and subcontractors—sets production targets, enforces standards, manages equipment and crews, and develops foremen and general foremen.
  • Controls cost, schedule, and quality—understands quantities, production rates, and rework drivers; anticipates risk and corrects early.
  • Coordinates across disciplines—aligns with survey, structural, MEP, and AWP teams to ensure layout accuracy and clean handoffs.
  • Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
