What you'll get to do:
- Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
- Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains Temperature Thermal Chambers Electronic equipment Like Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Counters and AC/DC power supplies..
- Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.
- Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Compute, analyze, and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes.
- Repair, calibrate, modify and maintain mechanical and dimensional measuring & test equipment (M&TE) and instrumentation devising methods, procedures, and standards to be utilized on new and existing M&TE.
- Responsible for the daily operation of the assigned calibration facility and the service to its internal customers and service providers.
- Apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate measuring and test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Identify and precisely follow established calibration procedures, and accurately record results.
- Follow and maintain calibration procedures and appropriate laboratory practices in accordance with Command Media and ISO requirements.
- Use high precision measuring equipment and scientific instruments to calibrate, verify, adjust and repair M&TE. Typical M&TE includes, but is not limited to: Oscilloscope calibrators, Function Generators Signal Generators AC/DC Power Supplies and Temperature Thermocouples.
- Frequently push a calibration cart to various on-site locations.
The ideal candidate must have basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook, ability to work in collaborative team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks simultaneously to accomplish the project result, apply technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts, and frequently bend, kneel and stoop to gain access to equipment and adjustments.
Basic Qualifications for the Calibration Technician 3:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Test Environment.
- Experience testing, calibrating, adjusting, and maintaining Temperature Thermal Chambers Electronic equipment like Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Counters and AC/DC power supplies.
- Experience analyzing calibration data to discover facts, knowledge, interpretations to carry out prescribed action(s).
- Able support occasional overtime work as needed.
- Experience computing, analyzing, and interpreting numerical data for reporting purposes.
- Experience validating and adjusting precise measurements.
- U.S Citizenship Required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Metrology equipment calibration lab environment or equivalent.
- Experience with military and aerospace industry concepts, practices, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- PMEL training or experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
