Essential Functions:

  • Source and procure a wide range of materials and services—including electronics, cables, chemicals, software, hardware, and more—for high-impact government and commercial projects.
  • Lead the end-to-end RFQ/RFP process: develop requirements, negotiate agreements, and manage contracts for both routine and complex sourcing needs.
  • Evaluate supplier bids to ensure the best value for L3Harris, balancing price, quality, delivery, and service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers, building long-term partnerships and driving continuous improvement.
  • Interpret and apply government regulations (FAR/DFAR/ITAR) related to import/export controls and certifications.
  • Track and manage purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with receiving and accounting teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide timely updates to program teams and ensure all orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Analyze and solve complex procurement challenges, using data to drive decisions and improve processes.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and program management teams to anticipate needs and mitigate risks for critical components.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with government procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR/ITAR).
  • Familiarity with various production and manufacturing processes.
  • Previous experience in a high-tech, defense, or aerospace environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfort working with data and reports.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive tasks to completion.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $63,500 - $117,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
