As a Business Management Manager – Manager Level 2 (Mid-Level Manager) , your role at Magna, UT will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security.   This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.


Our Business Management Manager will have oversight for all program-related business management activities, including partnering with the Sr Business Manager to ensure organizational financial goals are achieved, ensure superior financial performance and ensure the customer’s mission is achieved.  This role will be responsible for the management and development of a program control analyst team.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Coach, and mentor analysts and schedulers, establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics and foster a culture of data‑driven decision making
  • Maintain the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) baseline and generate weekly cost‑performance reports (CPI, SPI, variance‑to‑budget)
  • Leverage COBRA for cost‑accounting & budgeting, use Primavera P6 schedules to feed earned‑value calculations and extract, validate, and consolidate data for financial reporting
  • Identify improvements in current reporting cadence and develop automation and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for weekly cost updates
  • Produce concise “Executive Summary” dashboards, translate technical variance analysis into business‑impact language and present findings in senior‑leadership meetings and briefings
  • Take direction from senior leadership, translate it into actionable work plans, and report progress and partner with project controls, procurement, and finance to resolve data discrepancies quickly
  • Ensure adherence to DoD/EVM guidelines, Cost Accounting Standards, and internal audit requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of finance, accounting, business management or program control experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of finance, accounting, business management or program control experience 
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • No clearance required to start
  • Leadership experience or people management experience
  • Earned Value (EV) experience including understanding of Earned Value guidelines
  • Experience with Primavera, Cobra and Cost Point MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Government DoD high-rate manufacturing contract

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • MBA
  • Understanding of DoD contracts and government cost accounting standard
  • Knowledge of government program budgeting and forecasting, Annual Operating Plan, QEAC, LRSP, sales forecast and staffing development

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
