SAIC is currently seeking a Black Hawk Field Technician located at Lielvarde Air Base in Lielvarde, Latvia to support the Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT) to deliver high-level technical support, system integration, and field service engineering for the BAT Program. 

NOTE: This is a 5-month contract.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

  • Provide technical support services in support of maintaining and sustaining fielded Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT)s, equipment and software at the identified locations.
  • Assist in the emplacement and initialization of the BAT.
  • Advise customers on the capabilities and limitations of the BAT.
  • Troubleshoot BAT hardware, software, and networks.
  • Provide feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user feedback
  • Perform operator and maintainer tasks on equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software.
  • Conduct training when needed.
  • Support Program Help Desk as required.
  • Conduct scheduled equipment inventories.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s and five (5)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree. 
  • In field operator training. 
  • Experience with tactical networks and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting of computer systems and networks.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and efficiently with short term deadlines.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: 

  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance. 
  • Must be a current US Citizen. 

DESIRED SKILLSET: 

  • Black Hawk avionics experience.
  • Aviation Simulation Technician level III or IV in lieu of education/ experience requirements.
