Summary

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support with administration of employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life, accident and disability insurance, and retirement plans, including new hire orientation and annual benefits open enrollment
  • Assist, advise, and counsel employees on day-to-day benefit-related questions (via email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions)
  • Maintain integrity of eligibility enrollments within Workday
  • Partner with our payroll department to ensure accuracy of benefit deductions
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
    • Employee perks administration, employee services, and company wellness initiatives
    • Relocation administration
    • Commuter benefits administration
    • Leaves of absence (LOA) administration
    • Workers' compensation administration
    • Onsite medical and dental clinics
    • Onsite preschool
    • Employee perquisites and wellness initiatives
    • Commuter benefits

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ months of administrative experience (internship experience qualifies)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits, leave of absence, or workers' compensation
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS system
  • Ability to use independent judgment and prioritize work
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Highly collaborative style and strong team orientation
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple high-priorities in a fast-paced, loosely structured environment
  • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Bilingual in Spanish

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area
  • Position requires ability to work overtime hours and weekends when needed
  • Must be willing travel to other SpaceX sites (up to 15%)

Pay range:

Benefits Coordinator: $27.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
