Boeing's Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is seeking an Associate Sourcing and Contracting Specialist to join our Information Data Technology and Security (IDT&S) team. This position may be based out Mesa, AZ; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; North Charleston, SC; Englewood, CO; or Seattle, WA.

In this role you will manage various types of IT contracts including software, hardware, and managed services.

As an Associate Sourcing and Contracting Specialist, you will own end-to-end procurement activities including but not limited to early engagement with stakeholders, sourcing strategy development, Request for Proposal (RFP) authoring, proposal analysis, Terms & Conditions negotiation, and purchase order execution. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the procurement lifecycle, experience in supplier negotiations, and a desire for continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with developing integrated supplier and category strategies
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Evaluates supplier capabilities and performance to support Boeing innovation of products and services
  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
  • Recommends and implements supply chain process improvements
  • Builds and maintains relationships across the enterprise and within the supply base

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of experience in procurement and supply chain processes
  • 1+ year of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • 1+ year of experience negotiating price and schedule with customers
  • 1+ year of experience communicating with internal and external customers
  • 1+ year of experience working in a cross-functional environment
  • 1+ year of experience using all the following Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience negotiating and/or managing IT contracts (e.g. software, hardware, and managed services)
  • Experience negotiating contractual terms and conditions
  • Experience communicating with customers, peers and all levels of leadership
  • Experience with SAP Ariba

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for CO, WA: $74,800 - $101,200

Summary pay range for AZ, MO, SC: $69,700 - $94,300
