Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Assembler 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals, and be a part of Intelligence Systems, Space Components division in our Commerce, CA, facility. Commerce is the leading supplier of pressure vessels and tank hardware to the aerospace industry.

Role and Responsibilities:

An Assembler performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.  Polishing and finishing machined parts with hand power tools. Makes continuity checks on work in process.  May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Basic Requirements for Level 2:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2+ years mechanical assembly experience in an Aerospace environment
• Ability to read blue prints and technical drawings, both printed and digital copies
• Must be able to work with small hand tools and power tools
• Work well in a team environment
• Willing to support the business needs for additional hours
• Must be able to lift 40lbs

Basic Requirements for Level 3:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 4+ years mechanical assembly experience in an Aerospace environment
• Ability to read blue prints and technical drawings, both printed and digital copies
• Must be able to work with small hand tools and power tools
• Work well in a team environment
• Willing to support the business needs for additional hours
• Must be able to lift 40lbs

Preferred Requirements:

• Ability to operate overhead cranes
• Ability to obtain certification and drive a forklift

Primary Level Salary Range: $43,400.00 - $72,300.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
