The Aircraft Worker is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform aircraft detailing and polishing to the SAM FOX standard.
  • Must be meticulous and thorough in your work, following proper procedures and using the right tools and products for each task.
  • Aircraft Workers will be able to work at heights and must be comfortable reaching, bending, and must have a great sense of attention to detail.
  • Must be able to operate JLG, genies, and support equipment. Work can be repetitive and working outdoors in inclement weather sometimes is required.
  • Will assist with towing aircraft and ground handling as needed.
  • Must operate ground support equipment and use hand tools, special tools, and fixtures as required.
  • Must practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
  • Must be able to work, day shift, second shift, night shift, and/or weekend shift as required.
  • Must maintain disinfection qualifications to perform required tasks.
  • Could receive cross utilization training (CUT) in other maintenance tasks associated within classification.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be capable of operating portable fire-fighting equipment.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical data.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance .
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal military or civilian aircraft maintenance training is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of mechanical tools and aircraft safety is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $41.49
