Overview
This position reports to the Nuclear Engineering Manager. The work location for this position is at our Groton Engineering facility. This position is responsible for administrative duties supporting the Nuclear Engineering organization.
Job assignments include but are not limited to the following: managing calendar schedules and direct administrative duties to support the department; typing departmental correspondences, arranging business travel, generating expense reports, arranging meetings, processing IT service requests and CSARs for computer hardware and software needs, issuing electronic distribution of and logging/tracking D473 technical work documents, keeping the technical work document tracking database up-to-date and other general administrative duties to support to the Nuclear Engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Successful candidate must be able to handle multiple priorites and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Candidate must possess strong organizational, computer and communication skills.
- Flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside Customers and Vendors is essential.
- Sensitivity to confidential human resource information (CHRI) matters is required.
- Must have ability to learn CONCUR travel expense system quickly.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years of administrative experience in a professional office setting
- Ability to type 45 wpm (test may be required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have or be able to obtain Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree w/ courses in Business Administration and Communication
