Job Summary

GD-OTSis looking for an 2026Summer Intern - GN&C / Performance Modeling Engineer to join our Bothell, WA organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Support GN&C System Design and Analysis: Assist in designing, analyzing, and simulating algorithms for projectile guidance, navigation, and control systems.
  • Performance Modeling Development: Develop and optimize models to predict and analyze system performance, including flight dynamics and trajectory planning.
  • Data Analysis and Simulation: Perform simulations and post-process simulation data to evaluate system dynamics and control performance under various operational scenarios.
  • Algorithm Development and Testing: Contribute to the development, validation, and testing of control algorithms for precision guided munition systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, document analysis results, and present findings to senior engineers or project teams.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with systems engineering, hardware, and software teams to ensure GN&C and performance models meet system requirements


Qualifications

Applicants must be enrolled in at least their third year or senior year or post grad - actively pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in an accredited engineering program, with a focus in aerospace, mechanical, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel Requirements:

  • No or very little travel likely.


Pay Range (USD)

23.58 - 28.18

Pay Transparency Statement

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
