SAIC is looking for a Satellite Payload Systems Engineer to support a very dynamic and innovative space program in Chantilly, VA. In this position, you will gain experience with acquiring and deploying the next-generation of space assets including first of a kind satellite constellations with ground-breaking technology. This position will primarily support the assembly, integration and test activities for the program.  Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Government customer in managing and evaluating the Prime and Subcontractor performance in the delivery and integration of the satellite mission payloads
- Maintain detailed insight to the assembly, integration and test of the satellite payloads and integration activities at the developer facilities
- Assist the customer in understanding anomalies, root cause analysis and corrective actions including potential schedule and technical impacts
- Review test plans and test results for requirements compliance and provide informed technical recommendations
- Proactively identify and assess emerging technical and programmatic risks, and develop/evaluate mitigation approaches
- Develop productive relationships with developer counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts
- Track development issues, significant accomplishments and upcoming events and provide short weekly status updates, oral and in writing to the customer
- Evaluate entrance and exit criteria for major program reviews

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment

Security Clearance:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI poly
