Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Sector is seeking a Business Management Manager 2 to join us in the pursuit of top-tier financial performance within the Advanced Weapons Systems Operating Unit (OU). The positions are based out of Northridge, CA and will report to the Business Manager over the Advance Weapons System program.  There is no telework option for this position; it will be located in Northridge, CA that offers the 9/80 schedule.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Lead all aspects of program financial execution objectives
  • Lead a team of Program Control Analysts in executing a broad scope of business management activities to support program execution and compliance
  • Provide accurate and timely inputs to business systems supporting predictable financial forecasting and profitability determination
  • Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities.
  • Lead Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), internal and external audits and other financial assurance engagements
  • Develop business strategy and forecasting, through internal or external deliverables such as the Long Range Strategic Plan and the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Prepare and review Estimates-at-Complete (EAC)
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 8 years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control - OR -  a Master’s degree with 6 years of industry related experience.
  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR
  • Experience with Earned Value Management 
  • Prior experience with government program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development
  • Prior people leadership experience
  • Prior experience in proposal preparation and BOE preparation and evaluations.
  • Experience with SAP
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • The ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application,
  • MBA or master’s degree in a business field
  • Experience with EVM and financial forecasting systems (Cobra, S4/SAP, Hyperion, NGFP, Cognos)
  • Experience with USG customer communications and negotiations as a prime
  • Experience with a financial forecasting system and earned value management system
  • Experience reviewing Earned Value performance, bottoms up EAC, risk/opportunity/pressure analysis from multiple sources such as subcontractors or intercompany partners
  • Experience in Cost CDRL preparation

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
