RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support loading, driving, and unloading of flight, non-flight, fabrication, and tooling items between SpaceX sites at Cape Canaveral
- Safely load trucks at pickup points and transport truckloads to the destination following the rules of the road at all times
- Safely load and unload trucks at designated drop-off points
- Responsible for ensuring truckload contents are secure for safe and undamaged delivery to the destination
- Responsible for scanning barcodes, meeting business WMS requirements
- Review all documentation for the correct items to be delivered, as well as the precise delivery area
- Maintain all applicable documents (paperwork) related to items being delivered to ensure they are not damaged during delivery
- Monitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to the manager immediately
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle and refueling when low
- In case of an emergency, contact the immediate supervisor and provide detailed information to remedy the issue
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of professional commercial driving experience
- 1+ years of professional forklift experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Counter-balance sit-down forklift experience
- Material handling and heavy-haul driving experience (over 26k GVW)
- Experience driving for a high volume manufacturing environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
- Strong customer-service delivery background
- CDL Hazmat endorsement
- CDL Tanker endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Clean DMV record
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
