Job Description Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE systems, has an opening at our Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, location for a Network/Systems Principal Engineer. The selected candidate will join our Development Team and have an important role in supporting the development mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. This position supports the NC3 directorate. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex network and systems engineering problems
  • Support the Project Technical Manager in the execution of their duties
  • Provide technical leadership of all phases of network and systems design analysis, development, integration, configuration, and implementation
  • Determine the appropriate use of technologies in solving engineering problems
  • Assess and analyze system requirements to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and technologies
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
  • Participate in technical reviews and ensure that technical solutions meet project requirements and industry standards

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 7 years of experience in network and systems engineering, with a focus on design, development, and implementation of complex systems
  • Strong technical expertise in network and systems engineering, including protocols, architectures, and technologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
  • Must be a US Citizen, possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, and may not always be conducive to telework schedules
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Professional-level network certification (CCNP or higher)
  • DoD/DoW Cyber Experience
  • Experience with DISA networking
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
