Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, California.

 

This is an individual contributor, non-manager role with no direct reports. Due to the nature of the role, an on-site presence is required and cannot be performed remotely.

 

The Program Integration & Execution (PI&E) organization seeks a key member to support a Strike Program A/C Delivery IPT. This individual will oversee A/C delivery within a designated Business Area and Integrated Product Team, ensuring alignment with the program.  Acting as the primary liaison between the Program Business Area units and internal/external stakeholders in coordination with the IPT, this role will be responsible for managing the IPT’s operating cadence including but not limited to; managing an integrated portfolio schedule, facilitating/coordinating leadership reviews, setting up meetings for Directors and PMs, taking notes, documenting actions, collecting inputs to close actions, building reports, identifying trending data, standardizing processes/templates and leading special projects. This role is expected to partner across all functional groups and will have insight into all aspects of the business to include financials, program execution, staffing, reporting, and strategy.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Support the A/C Delivery IPT to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive deliverables, metrics, and presentations
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure all objectives are met
  • Assist with monitoring cost & schedule performance, support business management meetings, and subsequent reporting to program leadership
  • Earned value (EV) management of control accounts

  • Establish and maintain the strategic rhythm

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Management:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ experience in project management, OR Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience in project management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data
  • A current active US Government Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP/PAR clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
  • Experience working with senior executives.
  • High energy, strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and a hands-on level, as needed.
  • Experience processing large amounts of information, synthesizing, and integrating to meet various leadership team needs.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
