Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire Sentinel Program Control Manager 2  to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

Lead & Inspire a talented team of Program Control Analysts, driving a wide‑range of business‑management activities that keep programs on track and fully compliant.

Deliver Insightful Financial Analysis and clear, executive‑level reporting that translate program status and trends into strategic decisions for senior leadership.

Partner Closely with CAMs, element and segment/program leaders to align objectives and accelerate results.

Shape Business Strategy & Forecasts through high‑impact deliverables like the Long‑Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Own Key Financial Processes – from line‑item forecasting and work‑authorization to program budgeting, risk management, estimate‑at‑complete development, and comprehensive financial reporting.

Collaborate Across Functions to surface risks early and ensure financial targets are met.

Develop Talent – mentor and grow the next generation of professionals within your team.

Lead Audits – guide both internal and external program audits to successful completion.

Engage with Program & Customer Leaders on contract execution tasks such as CDRL submittals, funding requirements, invoicing, and more.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 6 years of experience; or a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experienced with Earned Value Proficiency including the Earned Value Guidelines
  • Prior leadership experience (team, people, project, program, etc.)
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and management
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and PowerPoint
  • Requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance and Sentinel program access (SAP)clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of management experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talent
  • 10+ years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control
  • Experience with Cognos, Cobra, MS Project, Primavera P6, and SAP
  • Full working knowledge of Financial Planning to include Annual Operating Plan development
  • Current, active Secret Clearance, current Sentinel program access
  • Understanding of DoD contracts and FAR/DFAR
  • Understanding of Government Cost Accounting Standards

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
