Job Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you'll play a critical role in our supply chain operations. We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast[1]paced, high-standards environment. This role requires precision, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset to ensure materials are received, processed, and shipped accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Process all packages and shipments from our Torrance, CA location.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery to move items on and off trucks and around the facility.
  • Receive and label indirect materials; inspect deliveries for damage, verify quantities against packing slips, and confirm accuracy against purchase orders. An eye for precision and details are required.
  • Responsible for labeling and routing all direct material to the Inventory Team for processing.
  • Responsible for processing all outbound shipments from our Torrance, CA location.
  • Package materials to meet packaging requirements; arrange timely and secure shipments with carriers.
  • Expedite flow of material through receiving to align with storage and production schedules.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years in shipping, receiving or warehouse operations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to accurately input data into digital systems with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to be onsite in Torrance, CA with flexibility for overtime as needed
  • 3+ years operating forklifts and related machinery with a valid license

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • System Experience: Familiarity with MES, ERP, task management systems, Microsoft Office suite.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in packaging and handling hazardous materials; experienced with loading/unloading using heavy machinery; ability to prioritize tasks in an organized manner making sure the systems match reality.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong understanding of logistics timelines with the ability to anticipate, identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and changes. Ability to quickly identify discrepancies in shipment data or documentation and proactively resolve issues.
  • Clearance: Active U.S. Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
