We are seeking a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer (HQE) to fill a key role on our Indianapolis team. This position ensures that hardware systems meet rigorous quality standards and customer expectations. The HQE will lead quality assurance efforts, monitor system performance, and drive continuous improvement aligned with AS9100 standards.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
- Monitor and report on quality system performance and metrics
- Implement and track corrective/preventive actions and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customers, suppliers, and leadership
- Provide training and tools to support quality initiatives across the organization
- Ensure contract compliance and execute quality tasks within AS9100 framework
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or related field
- Ability to support diverse technologies and adapt across multiple domains
- Proficiency in Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
- Experience with AS9100 systems and audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills in root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Proven ability to lead and inspire continuous improvement initiatives
Desired Skills
- Technical expertise in military mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems
- Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001 Standard Soldering Requirements and IPC 620 Cable and Harness Assemblies
- Strong attention to detail

Education
