The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Business area provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions from the seas to the stars. As a Senior Systems Engineer in the Space System Product line, your responsibilities will including working with ISSE and IT engineers supporting System Administration and IT activities on classified cloud processing assets and mission unique equipment. Tasks may include:

  • Performing technical tasks as part of the Information Technology (IT) / Platform team supporting Sys Admin, IT configuration and system security compliance of classified processing assets.

  • Resolving system configuration and security patching vulnerability issues, in coordination with the lead ISSE and IT engineer.

  • Managing system configuration changes and accurately assessing the impact of system and security configuration modifications upon operational system performance, security posture and compliance.

  • Performing platform installations and configurations of all development and delivered systems

This position is based out of our Merrimack NH facilities in the Northeast.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline and 4+ years' experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment

  • System administration experience with Linux Operating Systems

  • Virtual computing environment and Cloud Computing knowledge or experience

  • Experience with Agile Methodologies and Tools

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability

  • Experience in a DoD or related ISSO or equivalent role maintaining a system security posture

  • Experience with DISA STIGs and/or IAVA compliance hardening and patching

  • Experience with Ansible and Puppet IT automation tools

  • Technical documentation development

  • Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment

  • Strong oral and written communications skills including Technical documentation development

  • Experience with static and dynamic code analyzers

  • Ability to assist with other traditional systems engineering tasks such as CONOPS, requirements, and system level testing

  • Planning and organization skills; Attention to detail; possessing a drive for continuous improvement and product ownership

  • Experience understanding of the System Engineering lifecycle and processes.

  • Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification within 1 month of hire



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
