Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector has an opening for a Senior Cost and Schedule Manager 3 for the Air Dominance Division. This leadership role is located on-site in Clearfield, UT. This Senior Manager position leads a talented team of cost and schedule management individuals that support the Aerostructures Business Area.

Overall responsibilities include financial planning & reporting management, cost and schedule performance management, earned value management, risk and opportunity management, and all strategic and indirect management associated with the program. Additional key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage staffing needs, including: hiring/training/developing employees, assigning work scope to employees, and providing daily direction to employees
  • Collaborate across other functional teams to ensure the success of program priorities
  • Interface with a multitude of internal and external customers, including: sector/division/program leadership (e.g. VPs/Directors), government customers (e.g. USAF), and auditing agencies (e.g. DCMA and Deloitte).
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of program budgets to enable programs to manage performance
  • Maintain compliance to internal and external policies and procedures (e.g. EVM, FAR, SOX, etc.)
  • Assist in financial planning/reporting/analysis, including: profitability assessments, financial forecasting, and cash management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 9 years of Business Management work experience or Master's degree with 7 years of Business Management work experience
  • Prior managerial experience required
  • Aerospace industry experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) guidelines
  • Working knowledge of EVM systems, including: Cobra or similar systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years Business Management work experience, and an MBA or other related master’s degree
  • Familiarity with cost and schedule management processes and tools
  • Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications
  • Experience developing and presenting business strategies, financial information, and risk assessments to leadership teams
  • Experience interfacing with government audit agencies such as DCMA and DCAA, as well as accounting auditing agencies such as Deloitte
  • Experience utilizing SAP S4, Hyperion (or related financial software), Cobra, and wInsight
  • Active US government secret or top secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $151,500.00 - $227,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
