Reporting to a Building Information Modeling (BIM) & Digital Operations leader you will be operating from the owner’s perspective as a key leader, governing project digital delivery (AE/GC outputs) and internal record updates across multiple sites within a region.

Based on-site in NorthCharleston, SC, this role offers a rare and incredible opportunity to make an enterprise-wide impact within this newly formed organization. In this role you will have authority over standards, technical decisions, QA/QC, and acceptance into authoritative records – owning intake, prioritization, coordination, and delivery flow (tracking and lifecycle integration).

  • Provide project digital governance; participate in kickoff and milestone reviews; define quality gates and acceptance criteria

  • Experience running Quality Assurance (QA)/ Quality Control (QC) reviews and enforcing BIM execution requirements across project milestones

  • Lead QA/QC for deliverables (project and internal) and approve reintegration into master drawings/models (authoritative record)

  • Manage standards exceptions: evaluation, document, approve/deny deviations and drive corrective actions

  • Guide technical approach for model structure, coordination expectations and downstream handover requirements (without becoming a production drafter)

  • Partner with Regional BIM/VDC Coordinators to embed requirements early and prevent late-stage closeout issues

  • Mentor Technical Designers, elevate regional capability and consistency through coaching and templates/checklists

  • Support initiative delivery (Fix-the-Business): standards remediation, record quality audits, backlog modernization plans

  • Experience with Revit and model review/coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks or equivalent)

  • Experience understanding of design/construction documentation and how as-builts/digital turnover are produced

  • Up to 10% domestic travel

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, scanning tools, and digital operations

  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s in architecture, engineering or related field

  • 10+ years of BIM/VDC leadership experience (including BIM/VDC Manager or Digital Delivery Lead roles)

  • 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in a multi-project, multi-disciplinary organization

  • Experience implementing owner-side digital delivery requirements (contract language, deliverable specifications, acceptance criteria)

  • Experience with lifecycle digital handover, record reintegration and configuration control (authoritative record mindset)

  • Experience with ISO 19650 concepts, Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, and structured information management

  • Experience mentoring teams and scaling standards across multi-site or enterprise portfolios

  • Experience in reducing rework and improving first-pass acceptance through governance and process improvements

  • Experience in drafting best practices

  • Experience communicating technical requirements effectively to Architect-Engineers (AEs)/ General Contractors (GCs) and internal stakeholders

  • Experience operating as an owner-side authority (i.e. setting requirements, enforcing gates, and holding partners accountable)
