Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Mid-Level Government & Capital Property Management Specialist (Level 3) to join our team located in Huntsville, AL.

Are you ready to take on a vital role in managing our company's assets? We are seeking a dedicated Property Management Specialist to ensure compliance with contract provisions and enhance our property management processes. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and shop personnel, fostering collaboration to effectively manage property and support ongoing projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administers the terms of contract provisions that specify the company's obligations to acquire, control, use, care for, report and dispose of property.
  • Performs audits, documents processes and procedures and investigates and reports lost or damaged property.
  • Provides support, expertise, concepts and formats to enhance and manage information by utilizing off-the-shelf software or Boeing system tools to manage and communicate property information and to establish a property record for company or government property.
  • Maintains accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition.
  • Tracks the movement of property by coordinating, preparing and documenting applicable forms to accomplish a change of ownership, accountability or location in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy.
  • Determines property acquisition requirements, product availability and authority to fulfill company, program or contractual obligations.
  • Ensures that property is allowable, reasonable, allocable and utilized in accordance with company or contract requirements.
  • Coordinates the physical inventory of property and reconciles results to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Verifies that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established by responsible organizations.
  • Confirms that work is scheduled and performed in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts, corporate policy or recommended industry standards Reviews records for accuracy and reviews processes for compliance to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of tools, processes and procedures.
  • Handles disposition of property identified by company, legal or contractual requirements in accordance with procedures.
  • Completes all property related activities at completion or termination of contract including disposition of property.
  • Ensures all inventory adjustments, liability determinations and title issues are resolved.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of tools, processes and procedures.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience managing either government contracts or government programs 
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite
  • Experience using lean principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience with inventory management information systems or database applications
  • 3+ years of experience with PMSA (Property Management System Analysis) audits
  • Previous experience with GOLD, Property Management system for tool classification, status, location, and accountability, or related system
  • Experience with CAPRS (Common Automated Procurement Request System)
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations

Conflict of Interest:

Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim pre-start and final-post start US Secret security clearance is required.

Shift:

This position will be expected to work 1st Shift on most occasions

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $85,000 - $115,000 USD

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
