Purpose and Impact:

The Logistics Operations Specialist is a skilled logistics professional responsible for supporting efficient warehouse and supply chain operations through accurate inventory management, material handling, and timely distribution of goods across multiple locations. The role ensures the effective receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of inventory while maintaining compliance with established procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, the Logistics Operations Specialist contributes to operational continuity, service reliability, and the overall responsiveness of the logistics function in support of critical business outcomes.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:00 (38 hours per week)

Essential Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue goods across multiple warehouse locations while maintaining accurate inventory records and SAP transactions.
  • Prepare, package, palletize, and dispatch consignments, including AMC freight, and complete associated documentation.
  • Conduct deliveries within site locations, assist with stocktakes, investigate and report discrepancies, and support procurement, disposal, warehouse organization, and inventory planning activities.
  • Provide timely customer service to stakeholders and contribute to safe, compliant, and efficient logistics operations.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to independently lift and handle items weighing up to 25 kilograms as part of regular duties.
  • Physical stamina and endurance to perform tasks that involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, or repetitive motions.
  • Capability to operate material handling equipment and safely maneuver heavy loads as needed.
  • Tolerance to work in outdoor and remote environments under varying weather conditions

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Certificate IV in Logistics and Warehousing or relevant qualification
  • Proficiency in computer systems and ability to use inventory systems such as SAP
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, administrative, and record-keeping skills
  • US or Australian Citizenship

Security Clearance Required:

NV-1/SECRET Department of Defence (Australian) or SSBI (U.S.) clearance, with ability to obtain higher clearances if required.

Minimum Education:

  • Completion of secondary education or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain.

Required Certifications:

  • Certificate IV or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations
  • Forklift License and materials handling experience
  • HR Driver’s License
  • White Card
  • Experience using SAP, WMS, or similar inventory systems
  • Inventory analysis experience, including stock level reviews and demand planning
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment

  • Australian or US citizen
